About

IonLab Play started as a group chat between three friends who kept swapping screenshots of games we loved and games that wasted our evening. At some point we figured the notes were worth publishing, so we built a small site and kept the habit going.,We don't chase press releases. A game gets covered when at least two of us have put real hours into it, on our own phones, in the situations people actually play — on the couch, on a train, waiting for a friend who's late. That's the only way to know how the controls feel and how fast the battery empties.,Choosing what to review is simple. We look at what people around us are installing, what shows up in our recommendations, and what the community asks about. Genre doesn't matter — a slick racer and a slow strategy game get the same attention.,Nobody pays us to like a game. If something is dull or badly optimized, we say so, and we explain why in plain language instead of hiding behind a score.

Lukas Brandt — Lukas has been reviewing mobile games for over eight years and still keeps three phones on his desk for testing. He mostly plays strategy and adventure titles, and he's picky about touch controls.
