Emberfall Legends

Emberfall Legends surprised us. Mobile RPGs often feel like menus stacked on menus, but this one keeps the story front and center and lets you actually care about your party. Combat is turn-based, so it plays fine in short bursts, and you can queue actions ahead of time when you're in a hurry.

Character progression is generous without being mindless. You pick skill paths that genuinely change how a fight goes, and swapping party members mid-story feels meaningful rather than cosmetic. Text is heavy in places, so it's not a game to play with one eye on the TV.

On battery it's a heavier title. Expect around eighteen percent an hour with effects turned up. Lowering animation quality in the options helped us squeeze out longer sessions on a train.
