Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.5
Hollow Lantern is a slow, atmospheric adventure that trusts you to wander. You explore a fog-covered town, poke at objects, and slowly piece together what happened there. It never rushes you, and the mood is what carries it.
Controls are tap-to-move with a few gesture puzzles, and they stay out of the way. The puzzles are gentle — more about noticing details than brute logic — which fits the tone. We finished the main path in around five hours across a few evenings.
Battery use is low, around ten percent an hour, since the scenes are calm and mostly still. Headphones are worth it; the sound design does a lot of the heavy lifting.
